Ms. Aurelia Figueroa
Whenever considering my life, and the happiest and
most fulfilling moments contained therein, my thoughts
consistently turn to my education and educational
endeavors, and the pursuit of these. For these have
been some of the most fulfilling, remarkable and
rewarding endeavors I have pursued. The gift of
education is the greatest gift anyone can receive, be
it in the form of instruction, monetary assistance, or
encouragement to continue academic pursuits.
My educational path
has led in many directions. I have attended school in
several countries, traveled for educational pursuits
extensively, and look forward to continuing these
journeys in the future. I hold a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Political Science, with a focus in political
thought and a minor in journalism from San Jose State
University in San Jose, California. I also completed
graduate coursework and research in the history and
philosophy of science, and British literature, at
Cambridge University in Cambridge, England.
The American Youth Scholarship Foundation is a
combination of so many of my ideals, hopes, and
passions. This organization presents the amazing
opportunity to all involved to increase the quality of
another’s life, increase support of students, and
enrich one’s own life. I have been so fortunate to
partake in this myself. I urge you to contribute to
this organization and become involved in the future of
our students.
